Close To My Heart Angel Policy


All Close To My Heart designs are copyrighted by CTMH Co. and are protected under United States and international copyright law, which means they cannot be copied without Close To My Heart’s permission. Close To My Heart’s Angel Policy grants limited permission (a license) to purchasers of Close To My Heart stamps to create hand-stamped artwork for sale. Close To My Heart does not limit the types of hand-stamped creations that may be sold under this policy, within reasonable standards of good taste. The terms and conditions of this "Angel Policy" are outlined below:

•Close To My Heart designs may only be used in the creation of original, hand-stamped artwork.

•Any artwork created using Close To My Heart designs must not infringe third-party copyrighted material. The artist must accept full responsibility for his or her artwork.

•No stamp design may be reproduced or copied by any means, except hand-stamping, including photocopying, computer scanning and printing, or by freehand drawing. Artwork for sale must be personally hand-stamped by the selling artist, and any mass production or use of paid workers is prohibited.

•The following notice must appear on hand-stamped artwork created for resale: “Designs © CTMH Co.”

•Completed hand-stamped artwork may be sold at craft fairs, fundraisers, retail locations, and over the Internet. In the sale of hand-stamped artwork, Close To My Heart trademarks and logos may not be used prominently or in any manner which might lead consumers to believe the hand-stamped artwork itself is a Close To My Heart product.

•Hand-stamped artwork may be sold alone or in conjunction with Close To My Heart products.

•Sales may be made only in the United States (including U.S. Territories), Canada, or on U.S. military installations (as permitted).

•Close To My Heart designs and images may not be used in non-Close To My Heart business logos, trademarks, or promotional materials.

•Close To My Heart may amend its policies governing the use of its copyrighted designs and images, including the Angel Policy, at any time. Amendments to such policies are effective upon publication unless otherwise noted and will be posted on the official Close To My Heart website. Close To My Heart reserves the right to deny or terminate permission to use Close To My Heart designs and images with respect to any particular person.

To create the project shown here, follow the helpful hints and the Powerful Trio™ pattern as outlined in our how-to book Imagine™. For more detailed information on how to create the featured technique and project, or to purchase a copy of Imagine, contact Rhonda.

•Trim papers according to dimensions listed on page 28 of Imagine™, excluding title and journaling. Cut two 1” x 12” Cocoa cardstock pieces, one 3 1/2” x 9” Cocoa cardstock, one 3” x 8 1/2” Colonial White cardstock, one 1” x 2” Colonial White cardstock, five 2 1/4” x 1 1/2” Colonial White cardstock pieces, one 1 3/4” x 6” Barn Red cardstock, and one 1 1/4” x 1” Barn Red cardstock.
•Create scalloped border along one edge of two 1” x 12” Cocoa cardstock pieces.
•Apply Garden Green ink to surface of two Dimensional Elements flourishes.
•Cover Dimensional Elements as follows: rectangle with 1” x 2” Colonial White cardstock and heart with 1 1/4” x 1” Barn Red cardstock. Trim around Dimensional Element and smooth edges with Finishing File.
•Stamp grid pattern on Dimensional Element heart with Cocoa ink.
•Stamp title on 1 3/4” x 6” Barn Red cardstock using third generation Cocoa ink so it is very light on Barn Red cardstock. Trim each letter.
•Stamp the following on Colonial White cardstock scrap paper: scallop circle in Garden Green ink and journal box in Cocoa ink with year in Barn Red ink. Trim.
•Apply Cocoa ink to edges of all papers, stamped images, and Dimensional Elements.
•Assemble layout according to instructions on page 29, attaching two scalloped cardstock pieces behind top of A and D, attaching ribbon across center of A and D, and attaching ribbon around right side of journaling.
•Create Cocoa ribbon rosette as follows: Punch or trim 1 1/4" circle from scrap cardstock; attach one end of ribbon to center of 1 1/4” cardstock circle with brad; twist and wrap ribbon around brad covering cardstock circle, securing sections with glue dots as you go; secure loose end to back with glue dot.
•Attach embellishments and cut-out stamped images.

•Trim papers according to dimensions listed on page 39 of Wishes. Cut one 1 3/4” x 2 1/2” Colonial White cardstock for stamped accents and one 1” x 4 1/2” Heavenly Blue cardstock for the scalloped accent.

•Stamp sun in Goldrush on C and cloud outline in Heavenly Blue on Colonial White accent piece. Using second generation stamping technique , stamp cloud background in Heavenly Blue inside cloud outline.

•Stamp sentiments in center of cloud using clear tape masking technique. Trim cloud.

•Create scalloped border along one edge of Heavenly Blue accent piece.

•Apply Desert Sand ink to edges of all papers and cut-out cloud accent.

•Attach two brads in top left corner of A.

•Assemble card according to instructions on page 39, attaching ribbon across B and cut-out cloud to C.
