Helpful Hints
To create the featured layout, follow the helpful hints outlined below and the assembly instructions found in our how-to book Imagine™. If you did not attend the workshop and do not have the featured stamp set, use an alternate stamp set or talk with Rhonda about how to purchase this exclusive stamp set. Rhonda can offer you additional help with this and other great projects and show you the full line of high quality scrapbooking and cardmaking products.
  • Cut the papers according to the cutting diagrams on page 21 of Imagine™. Use a 12" × 12" piece of Colonial White cardstock as the base for the left page and a 12" × 12" piece of Sorbet cardstock as the base for the right page. Cut the following pieces from Colonial White cardstock: one 2 1/2" × 12" and two 2 1/2" × 2 1/2" accent pieces. (Note: The two 2 1/2" × 2 1/2" accent pieces are used for stamping and will be centered on pieces B and G.)
  • Using the sponging technique, lightly apply Chocolate ink to the edges of the cardstock bases and all papers, excluding the title.
  • Using a combination of inks, stamp mushrooms and dot clusters on the center of each accent piece.
  • Apply a small amount of Liquid Glass in a checkerboard pattern on pieces A and D, on the stamped dots on the accent pieces, and on each printed dot on pieces C, E and F. Set aside to dry.
  • Using Chocolate and Sorbet inks, create a title on the title piece. Cut out each letter, if desired.
  • Assemble the layout according to the instructions on page 21. Attach the 2 1/2" × 12" Colonial White cardstock along the bottom of the right page, placing it flush with the bottom and side edges.
  • Cut a 24" piece of ribbon. Wrap the left end of the ribbon around the left edge of the page, placing it along the bottom edge of pieces A and C. Attach the ribbon, ruffling it as desired and wrapping the right end around the right edge of the page. To adhere ribbon more firmly, attach a Chocolate brad every 3".
  • Cut a 12" piece of ribbon. Wrap the left end of the ribbon around the left edge of the right page, placing it 1 1/2" above the bottom of the page and keeping it in line with the ribbon on the left page. Attach the ribbon, ruffling it as desired. Trim the right end of the ribbon at an angle. To adhere the ribbon more firmly, attach a Chocolate brad every 3".
  • Attach the hemp, brads, and Dimensional Elements, as desired.
