Spring Has Sprung!
The official start of spring arrived last Saturday, and I’m noting the occasion with a sweet spring surprise, rich in pretty pinks! Today, I’m working in Baby Pink, Hollyhock, Desert Sand, and Garden Green, a lush and classic combination ideal for baby cards, spring layouts, and anything Easter. All three of the cards I’ve included today use patterns from Wishes, and I love the way the “bird’s nest” turned out—they’re just small strips of cardstock, distressed with sandpaper and scrunched down for a great look (yet another reason I love our white-core cardstock!).
I also love the way my paper lilies turned out, which can make spring the thing anytime you want. These look great aside my framed Easter scripture, but a bunch would also look fabulous in a vase as a table decoration or as a thoughtful gift. With just a little ingenuity and some florist’s tape, you too can create these lovely lilies.
I will post detailed instructions tomorrow—stay tuned.
