New projects that I just completed recently!

This is a voice recorded card. Inside is a voice recorder that holds up to a thirty second message. When the snowflake is pressed, the message plays. This is a great gift for a loved one far away, grandparents, or just for mom.

This is the top of the Memory Keeper box, which if great for placing gifts in. It has a magnetic closure on the front. A great item to place the

9 x 9 accordion album in, and still have room for other items.

This is a sample of the 9 x 9 accordion album standing up inside the Memory Keeper Box. Great idea for grandparents and other relatives.
Classes for all of these are coming soon. You can attend the class or have the projects mailed to you.

Getting ready for another great weekend crop!

As many of you know, this weekend is my October weekend crop! I'm so excited, I can't wait. I have been working all evening on games and door prizes. Don't forget the theme is Trick or Treat. Also, I still have a coupld of Friday and Sunday spots open!
I have also been working on a new concept. If you are reading this blog and have never scrapbooked or been to a card making workshop, I have a great idea for you. I will be offering several workshop dates for you and your friends to get together and try making a card. There is no obligation to make any purchases. Just a good time for a "Girls Night Out" or a "Wine and Cheese Card Night" whatever theme you want to call it. You supply the light snack and I will bring enough material for up to eight friends to make a card. If you have more than eight friends that you think would like to try, we can make it two nights.
What this is going to do, is either get you excited about the concept of scrapbooking and/or card making or find this is not for you. Instead of having a person have a show, I would like to try this way first, then while I'm at your home I will let you know about great clubs and crops that you and your friends can try. Again, this is a FREE night for you and your friends just to try it. If you are interested in doing this, please email me at rhondam@myctmh.com and we can set a date. I will post the Halloween or Fall card that you can choose from between now and the end of November in the next couple of days.
If you are already a scrapbooker or card maker and want to learn more about my crops or workshop kit of the months, then feel free to email me too. Lastly, if you book a show instead of an informative workshop, you will receive an additional gift from me.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Working on next weekend crop!

I'm starting to get my information together for my next weekend crop. This one will be held at the Avenue Inn in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It will be a Friday thru Sunday one also. I'm waiting for the hotel to get back with me on some details and I will be posting the details. The dates are January 22 - 24, 2010, so mark your calendar now. This will be a great little get away after to Holidays, or better yet, ask for a weekend away as a gift for the Holidays.

My next crop will be on November 21 from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. The cost is $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Your price includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a make-n-take. Let me know if you are interested, as I have some people signed up already. Space is limited.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Weekend full except for some Friday only or Sunday only spots

Well, my weekend in October is full as far as weekenders; however, I do have some Friday only or Sunday only spots still available. Friday is $20, Sunday is $25, so if you have a friend that can just make it for the day, pass this on!

I have decided on the menu for the weekend, it is as follows:

Friday:
  • Dinner - Baked ziti (meatless), salad, bread, butter with Ranch or Country French dressing.
  • Snack - Baked onion dip with crackers and wine.

Saturday:

  • Breakfast - Hotel breakfast area for those spending the night Friday night, continental breakfast for others in scrapbooking room
  • Lunch - Salad bar with meat, cheese, and other fixings and/or a 6" Subway sub (will pass around choices on sign-up sheet). Dressings to be Ranch or Country French.
  • Dinner - Chinese (chicken and broccoli, shrimp and broccoli, and lo mien)
  • Snack - Brownie Sundae

Sunday:

  • Breakfast - Hotel breakfast area for those spending the night Saturday night, continental breakfast for others in scrapbooking room
  • Lunch - Pizza

I hope everyone is happy with the menu. I try to keep the crop prices down, while still offering good meals.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Here is a sample of the Make-and-Take for the weekend crop!

This is a sample of the type of card we will be doing as part of our make-and-take at the crop. This is called a tri-fold card and is very simple to make. This card will also be part of my upcoming card class that I will be having later this month. If you know of people who love to make cards, be sure to share this with them, or email me at rhondam@myctmh.com and I will send them more information.

I'm just about sold out for the weekend crop. The food menu will be posted hopefully tomorrow.

I had a busy day, went out with a friend to A.C. Moore, then came home and went with Jessica to meet with a lady about selling "Thirty-one Gifts". They sell purses, totes, you name it and you can have them personalized. I will be hosting a home show for her soon, so be sure to check back if you are interested in attending.

Have a good evening!

October Crop Update

I have just a few weekend spots left and we will be full. This is so exciting!! I have a great weekend planned for those attending. The theme is "Trick or Treat" and we will have several contest geared toward this theme.
  • Saturday - Bring your paper and pictures to make a "Trick or Treat" themed page to be judged by your peers. The winner will receive a Trick or a Treat from me. I wonder what one they will pick.
  • Each Day - A hand at Poker. To enter, once you complete two scrapbook pages, you will get to draw a card from the deck of cards. Then you receive one card for each page completed thereafter. You can only keep five card in your hand at a time. So if you complete your sixth page, you can keep your hand as it is, or your can discard one card and draw another from the deck. The best hand each day at 9:00 p.m. will receive a gift!
  • Art Wall - I will have a grid wall set up for you to display your work. This way we can all see your completed pages if you care to share!

This is all for today, I want you to keep coming back for more. I will post the make-n-take tomorrow and some other things happening this weekend. Also, I will be posting the menu in the next couple of days so you can see what we are having.

Thanks for stopping by, and I will be back tomorrow!
